Springwood residents Gordon and Lynn Pendlebury were amongst the scores of householders who lost their homes and most treasured possessions in the 2013 NSW bushfires.
As well as the home where they'd lived for more than 30 years, the Pendleburys lost a classic car collection, and a much-loved horse. Many of their neighbours in the community were unable to rebuild, but fortunately for the Pendleburys, insuring through a broker meant they were able to get back on their feet, and rebuild their home to new bushfire attack level specifications.
